Calendar of Trips
We add trips to our schedule as they are requested. If you don’t see the trip you would like on our calendar you can register for the one you are interested in and we will add it to our calendar as long as our schedule permits. Trips are created on a first come, first serve basis so the further ahead you register the more options you have in trips and start time. Visit the Choosing a Trip page for guidance to help you decide which trip would be best for your group.
Outdoor activities are always subject to changes in weather. If there is just a light rain or passing shower we can go ahead with the trip. Incase of storms with heavy rains and/or lightning we will cancel the trip and notify you as far ahead as possible. Trip availability also depends on the river levels.

Half-day Paddle Camps focus on developing paddling skills in recreational kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. Campers receive instruction in paddling technique, safety, and river navigation. We explore different sections of the Haw River throughout the week. Campers should leave with a much greater understanding of paddlesports and on water confidence. Emphasis will be placed on teaching about conservation efforts designed to protect and preserve the Haw River for future generations.
Half-day Paddle Camp Fee: $195/week Half-day Paddle Camps are from 9:00AM until 1:00pm Monday through Friday. Drop off and pick up locations will be at our main office in Saxapahaw, (6079 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road) unless the camp is conducted in cooperation with Carrboro Parks & Recreation in which case you must register through them and they will tell you the drop off and pick up locations. Our camps are operated by The Haw River Canoe & Kayak Co. and offered in partnership with other organizations. You may contact us for additional information; however, you must register through our partners if the camp is conducted in partnership with another organization. Enrollment in a camp is on a first come, first served basis.
